Aims and Scope

The objectives of the Journal of New Intellectual Research are as follows:

  • To provide a suitable platform for presenting philosophical and theological innovations and for critically examining them in order to address emerging epistemological challenges and doubts;
  • To investigate and elucidate new epistemological approaches;
  • To introduce and discuss issues and topics in Islamic philosophy and theology from a novel perspective and in light of contemporary philosophical viewpoints;
  • To expand the foundations of philosophical-theological thought within both seminary and academic environments;
  • To utilize the capacities of university and seminary scholars in order to establish a lasting intellectual connection between the seminary and the university;
  • To present the views of contemporary thinkers on philosophical and theological issues, with an emphasis on critical analysis;
  • To direct philosophical and theological research toward addressing contemporary cultural and social challenges;
  • To give special attention to the innovations of Muslim philosophers and theologians and apply them to resolving various epistemological challenges;
  • To guide philosophical and theological research, particularly at the student level, toward innovation and idea generation;
  • To identify emerging philosophical and theological trends in the contemporary world;
  • To recognize the requirements of religious intellectualism within the framework and boundaries of Islam;
  • To examine the impact of new approaches on subjects related to religious thought.
