Abstract

The nature of identity and the nature of the mind is the most basic epistemological research and the first of all knowledge; Because if the mind is not known, the discussion about identity will be considered as a kind of action mind, and the existence of the mind will not lead anywhere. Despite the importance and role of the mind in epistemology, this issue has been discussed briefly in the works of Islamic philosophers. In order to answer this question, what is the truth of the mind from the perspective of Islamic philosophers? Although the opinions of Islamic philosophers about the mind are different, this article tries to present different meanings of the mind from their point of view by classifying and analyzing them. At least seven comments have been reviewed in this article. By examining the above-mentioned sayings and explaining some issues related to the mind in Islamic philosophy, the separation and differentiation of the mind with some categories such as the self, intellect, brain, internal affairs and mental affairs, if they have a semantic or logical affinity with the mind at the beginning, will be clarified.
