Analyzing the relationship between criticism and genius in the humanities is one of the notable issues in the collection of critical studies that has not been taken into consideration so far. The main question of the following article is what activities or behaviors, especially those related to criticism, can lead to the strengthening of genius in the humanities? And can genius be used to open a path to criticism in the humanities and improve the strategy and methods of scientific criticism in this field? The article here mentions a concept called “critical genius” and for this purpose, after going over the concepts of criticism and genius and presenting aspects of philosophical analysis and their surrounding components, eleven scientific-social strategies or contexts are mentioned: the role of critical confrontation, questioning, the power of conjecture, a holistic abstract mind, a methodical approach, logical and mental order, changing the angle of view of the problem, a source of inspiration, departing from common scientific traditions, self-reliance, and also a creative social space. The author concludes in the end that transformation in the humanities is not possible without establishing a kind of creative relationship between criticism and genius.
